We had lots of braces going on today, and in the busyness of the day, I forgot to take picutures of every single one of our newest patients 🙁 (If that’s YOU, please feel free to snap a smile pic and email it to us!!!)

This made me think about reminders, and how you can remember to brush, floss, or wear your retainers. Here are some ideas from some experts on habits:

1. Make your brush/floss/retainers visible. The more you see these things throughout the day, the more you’ll be reminded to use them!

2. Set an alarm on your phone to remind you, and be sure to set it for an hour before you usually go to bed–just in case you hit the hay early one night.

3. Put a post-it note on your bathroom mirror or fridge as a friendly reminder.

4. Simply brush/floss/put in your retainers earlier in the day. Instead of waiting until you’re exhausted before bed, do it right after dinner (it keeps you from snacking in the evening hours, too!). Or, do it as soon as you yawn in the evening–that way you won’t be tempted to skip your dental routine because you’re too sleepy!
